Hi classmates!
Last Wednesday -We +we started with a game, to work +on the word " get" and its constructions.
The game consisted in writing short answers to a list of questions, inside circles, disorderly. Then -We +we -changed +exchanged our answers with our classmate and He/She had to try join each answer with -it +its question. In this game, besides -learn +learning the different -meaning +meanings of the verb to "get", We had to work with the construction of the question to check our assumption.
+We Finished this. The teacher -talked +told us about the differences -of +between the construction:
· I am used to + ING = Estoy acostumbrado
o I am used to driving on the left ( Estoy acostumbrado a conducir por la izquierda)
· I got used to + ING = Me acostumbré
o I got used to driving on the left when I lived in Uk ( Me acostumbre a conducir por la izquierda cuando vivia en Uk)
· I used to + INFINITIVE =Solia…
o I used to play tennis as a child ( Solia jugar al tenis cuando era niño)
· I usually + PRESENT TENSE = Normalmente…( por lo general)
o I usually eat at 1:30 pm everyday ( Normalmente como a la 1:30 pm todos los dias)
We discussed, over all, the -two first +two because -It +it was a little difficult to understand in spanish the difference with " I get used". In present tense.
We continued +by doing the exercise from pages 14-15. Section Wrinting : " Planning and drafting a biography"
Exercise 1. We discussed about what steps -do we -do +go trough [1] when we write something in English. And -check +[we checked] it ,reading on page 133 the text " Five steps to better wrting". We commented it in class
Exercise 2. We analyzed the stage in the writing process, of the notes from the exercise.
Exercise 3. We read a text and found several mistakes including spelling, punctuation, grammar and missing words.
Finally, we don´t have any homework for next day
