Hi classmates!!!
Sorry +for the delay, but here is the brief summary.
We started with -the pages -from 56 -until +to 58 from the student´s book.
We did the exercises from 1 until 6 [como arriba, esto suena "poco inglés"], about reading and speaking, according to the text: “ Five inventions that shape the way we live today”.
Vocabulary:
Facilities : comodidades [más bien, "instalaciones"]
Utilities: utilidades ["suministros básicos (agua, gas...)"]
Water/electricity supply: suminsitro de agua/electricidad
Flush: sonrojarse_/ inundar
Flush the toilet : tirar de la cadena
Flush something down the toilet: tirar algo por el baño.
Its is only natural = es de lo mas natural
Goods: bienes/mercancías
Also We did -the exercises 1,2 and 3, +on page 58 -[. A]+[, a]bout Important dates. We practiced -the reading dates and -its +their approximates [mejor: practiced reading exact and approximate dates] and We listened +TO it.
A.D= Anno Domini
B.C= Before Christ
More vocabulary:
Overmanned: exceso de mano de obra
Undermanned: falta de mano de obra
Understaffed: falta de personal
Overstaffed: exceso de personal
Survival/ Revival/Removal/ Disposal = Suffix –al, : to form nouns from the verb.
