Hi guys!!

How was your weekend? I´m sure you have been studying a lot for your exams...

I´m going to write a summary for last wednesday! We -[was working] +[worked on] the worksheet "05 WRITING PERSONAL STATEMENTS"

First, we started by correcting exercise B of Writing about Niran´s personal statement, we learned some vocabulary and expressions like:
    - Invaluable insight: Conocimiento profundo
    - Competitive edge: Ventaja competitiva
    - Solid grounding: Base sólida
    - How businesses are run: Como llevar la empresa
    - In core: Esencia
    - The core subjects: Las asignaturas esenciales
    - Internship: "beca"
    - To put into practice: Llevar a la práctica
    - I still believe: Pese a ello
    - You seem a bit on edge this morning: Estás un "poco puntilloso" esta mañana
    - Think outside the -boss +box: Creatividad

After that, we continued with the other side of the worksheet, and Jose Luis -tell +told us +about the importance  in the personal statement of -add +adding a comment to exemplify -the our description.
Example: I´m -sympathize +[a sympathetic] person who always -try +tries to talk out problems with my colleagues.
And we matched sentences in exercise A and B of Vocabulary.
Here you have the meaning of some words:
     - People skills: Habilidades sociales
     - Conscientious worker: Trabajador concienzudo
     - Well-rounded: Persona que sabe un poco de todos los campos
     - Stubborn: Terco
     - Excel at: Brillar/ser extraordinario

Later, we did exercise "Key words for writing" about linking -word +words to add information, like "In addition", "Additionally", "Also", "Furthermore"...

Finally, Jose Luis gave us homework:
    - A narrative or a story (worksheet 04 WRITING)
         - Page 35 in your book
    - A personal statement (worksheet 05 WRITING)
  Use the checklist from the 1st -assigment +assignment.
180-200 words, the deadline is February 7th.
[Type it in your Google file from the previous assignment]
